Best Arch Supports for Plantar Fasciitis Rated

Plantar Fasciitis is characterized by pain first step in the morning.  There are many different methods for treating plantar fasciitis such as stretching, cortisone shots or night splints.  One method to treat Plantar Fasciitis is arch supports.  There are two methods for arch supports in Plantar Fasciitis.  One way is the traditional method which is via an orthotic or insole to support the arch.  In this method you are looking for solid arch support as well as shock absorption in the heel to decrease the amount of stress placed on the plantar fascia.  The second method is via a pad or strap which you place on your foot to help support the arch.  These methods can be used in conjuction in treating plantar fasciitis.  Below I have listed the best arch supports for treating plantar fasciitis:

Spenco Rx Orthotic–  If you are looking for an orthotic to provide you comfort and reduce the stress on the plantar fascia this is a good choice.  Spenco has a poron layer on all their orthotics which provides comfort as well as shock absorbtion.  Its actual arch support, however, is not the strongest.

Powerstep Orthotics–  This is my favorite and is the orthotic that most Podiatrists sell out of their office.  This orthotic in my opinion provides the best combination of arch support and comfort.  It accomplishes this method through the combination of a polyproprilene shell and a poron top cover.

Flexamed Arch Bandage–  If you are looking for strictly arch support, this bandage will provide arch support.  This is a baseline model with no bells and whistles, but will provide solid arch support.  If I were to purchase it I would purchase it in conjuction with an orthotic or insole so you are provided some shock absorbtion as well.

PolyGel Arch Wrap–  This wrap has gel in the arch which will help to dissipate the stress placed on the heel and at the same time supporting the arch at the same time.
