Plantar Fasciitis is an inflammation of the plantar fascia of the foot, caused by tightness in the fascia or microtrauma to the fascia. What can cause this trauma? Well, getting on and off a horse can. People who ride horses can be prone to Plantar Fasciitis. The key for a horse riding boot that would help treat Plantar Fasciitis is that the boot have padding in the heel to help reduce the shock and force placed on the heel during walking and dismounting. Below I have listed a couple of Boots that I think are the best for Riders with Plantar Fasciitis.
Ariat Terrain– These series of boots feature an EVA midsole which will provide arch support while at the same time cushioning the force and micro trauma that your foot would experience.
Naturalizer Regular Jersey Shaft– This boot features an N5 cushioning system to help reduce the force that the plantar fascia feels. This provides both support as well as shock absorption.
