Plantar Fasciitis is a painful condition of the heel that causes pain first step in the morning. There are many treatments for Plantar Fasciitis including but not limited too: Orthotics, Night Splints, NSAIDS, Injections and stretching. One of the easier treatments is to wear better shoes or sneakers. If you are on your feet for eight hours a day the right pair of sneakers can reduce and eliminate your plantar fasciitis. Below I have listed what I believe to be the best sneakers for Plantar Fasciitis:
Drew Shoe Men’s Jeremy Athletic Shoe– This shoe features a removable insole making it ideal if you want to wear orthotics. The highlight of this sneaker is the dual density foot bed with an added heel cusion pad, arch support and medial heel stabilizer. This provides the plantar fascia with the support in the arch it needs as well as the padding in the heel area.
New Balance MX623v3 Cross Training Shoe– I am of the belief that New Balance makes the best sneakers on the market as they prioritize function over style. This is my favorite New Balance because it is fashionable while retaining function. It features ABZORB cushioning to reduce stress and shock on the Plantar Fascia. The IMEVA midsole provides firm yet flexible cushioning, which gives the arch the support needed for the plantar fascia to not be under stress.
ASICs Gel Contend– This shoe and the whole line of ASICS with Gel in their heel are the ideal sneaker, in my opinion, for a person who is working on their feet for eight hours a day. Essentially the gel technology takes the pressure off the heel, and, by reducing those shock forces, helps reduce the stress on the plantar fascia.
