Wart Treatments: The Five Best Patient Reviewed Treatments

Warts can be a painful and annoying condition of the foot causing discomfort and pain.  Warts can also be very difficult to get rid of, often requiring multiple different treatments.  Below I have aggregated on the internet from multiple sites patient reviews of individual wart products.  I have determined the five best wart removal products and have given them a score out of ten.  Here are the list of the five best patient reviewed products for plantar warts:

5. Pediflex Wart Stick 8/10

OK, this stuff works great because it’s very strong. I had a wart on my hands that was there for YEARS and now it’s gone. I even had my doctor freeze it twice and it still didn’t go away. This stuff got rid of it in about 15 days.

Over the course of a few weeks I rubbed the stick onto my daughter’s warts, and occasionally used an emery board to take down the surrounding callous and dead wart off the top (which was a painless experience for my very sensitive girl, hurray). The first wart fell off her foot last week, and the second is about to break off. They just dry up, darken, and fall off! What a relief!

This thing is better than the fluid wart removers because:
1.The wax base makes it easier to place EXACTLY.
2.The acid is 45% rather than the usual 15%.

4. Dr. Scholl’s Clear Away Wart Remover-8/10

There was absolutely no pain whatsoever and it work much faster than I could’ve ever expected. Within a week and a half all my warts were completely gone! The areas healed very quickly after all the warts disappeared.

This is the only wart medicine that has actually worked for me. The freeze off does not work. The pads take about a month for the wart to come off. It takes time but it gets rid of the wart completely!!!

3. Duofilm Salicylic Acid Wart Remover-9/10

My daughter had a cluster of at least 14 warts on her foot with black dots! I took her to the doctor and he recommended this duofilm. I put this on her foot every day. On the 4th day I started picking at it……to remove it. Each day we would pick at it and apply duofilm! Within 2 WEEKS……..she was wart free!!!!

I had a very large wart on my foot and many smaller warts on both of my feet. I used the Duofilm daily. Eventually I was able to pick at and remove the smaller warts one by one. The larger wart eventually cleared up.

2. Compound W Fast Acting Gel 9/10

I have used the strips and the liquid Compound W wart remover, but the gel form is overall better. The gel can be applied precisely, and if properly dried, it stays on longer compared to the strips or liquid (bottle with brush).

You don’t have to get too aggressive with this stuff. You can apply it once or twice a day and even leave it for a few days, scrape and then re-apply. Eventually my warts did become kind of crater sized as I got deeper into them, but I’m SO HAPPY to report that the big one is officially gone.

1. Curad Mediplast Wart Removal pads 9.5/10

The relief is so good I could almost cry. I had a terrible wart in which NOTHING else worked. It hurt like crazy and wasn’t too pretty either. I had to wear this thing for a little over a month, but it got rid of it. If you have extremely bad one and painful one like I had this is what I did.

I have tried so many products over the past few years and this actually works. I was able to remove warts in both my feet (plantar) and hands. I followed another reviewer’s advice and used waterproof medical tape over the mediplast pads.

Mediplast 40% sal.acid plasters are the best for removing any unwanted skin… corns, callouses, warts etc. Have recommended only this product for my entire career as a pharmacist
