You’re a Volleyball player and you need to wear your orthotics. Whether it is because you suffer from flat feet, heel pain or overpronation, you need your orthotics. However, not all volleyball shoes are orthotic friendly, in other words volleyball shoes that have plenty of room for Orthotics. What do you look for in orthotic friendly volleyball shoes? You are looking for a volleyball shoe with a removable insole and that is wide and has enough depth to have room for the orthotics. Sounds simple enough. The other bells and whistles volleyball shoes have, is your decision. Those are the three factors you want in volleyball shoes that can accomodate orthotics. Orthotic Friendly Volleyball shoes:
ASICS Gel Rocket 6 Volleyball shoes– Available in both men’s and women’s styles, this shoe features the removable insole combined with gel shock absorption protection. So if one of your biggest issues is pain from jumping this ASIC Gel Rocket is the shoe for you. Additionally, it features a large toe box in order to accomodate most deformities as well as orthotics.
Mizuno Wave Lightning– These shoes, like the shoe above, feature a removable insole. While this shoe provides a little more function, the ASICs provides a little more comfort.
Kaepa Women’s Heat Volleyball shoe– This shoe as well features a removable insole and is a close cousin of the ASICs gel with its shock absorbing features
