Finding Environmentally or Eco Friendly orthotics or insoles is not easy. What do I define as an eco friendly orthotic? Any orthotic manufactured using recycled material. With this criteria I was able to find two orthotics that are manufcatured utilizing recycled material.
One of these orthotics is Spenco Polysorb Earthbound which are created from by a polysorb cradle made with recycled Nylon where all the arch support comes from. The anti microbial layer was manufactured utilizing recycled fabric. This orthotic provides a great deal of cushioning and would be ideal for people on their feet for long periods of the day on concrete, people with high arches, people that just want their foot to be more comfortable.
Sole Softec Ultra Foot bed– This orthotic is created utilizing a moldable base layer which comes from 20% recycled content as well as a moisture wicking top sheet from 35% recyced content. This orthotic is lightweight and would be ideal for runners. It also has a deep heel cup to help pronation and arch support befitting a flat foot.
