The Coronavirus or COVID-19 is causing thousands of people to forgo Podiatrist appointments, whether they have an ingrown toenail, Plantar Fasciitis or Flat feet. People are concerned that if they go to the Podiatrist they will catch the Coronavirus. The answer is yes you can catch the Coronavirus at the Podiatrist. There is no disinfectant or precaution a Podiatrist can use that will prevent the Coronavirus from being transmitted to a patient.

Now should you completely stop going to the Podiatrist, well the answer is probably unless you have a Diabetic ulcer wound or infection that requires immediate attention. Other than that you should probably wait until the Coronavirus or COVID blow over before returning to the Podiatrist. It is not worth risking your life to see the Podiatrist right now. Be patient. Unless you are Diabetic and it is a medical emergency you should stay home.
