Disclaimer:  Before starting any of the vitamins listed below you should consult your podiatrist or primary care physician.

There are many different vitamins for peripheral neuropathy on the market currently.  In this article I try and break down which ones are the best, and most effective.

Sometimes you do not even need a vitamin to get desired effects.  For example, polyphenols have shown cardiovascular protective behaviour and increased glucose control.  A good source for polyphenols can be green tea.  Other vitamins that are required for supplimentation are listed below, these are my four favorites.

Alpha Lipoic Acid– Has been shown in studies to decrease the symptoms of peripheral neuropathy.  The dose neccesary to accomplish this is 600 mg daily.

Acetyl Carnatine 500-1,000 mcg– has been shown to be very effective in the treatment of Neuropathy.   It has shown to be effective in the regeneration of nerves in Diabetic Neuropathy.
