Best Running Shoes for Diabetics

Being a Diabetic does not mean you have to give up running.  You have to be careful to monitor your blood sugar at all times.  It is very important to wear properly fitting shoes. You do not want your shoe rubbing against the blisters on your foot.  As long as the running shoe is properly fitting you probably will be all right.  Now some running shoes are better than others for Diabetics.  But also understand that the best running shoes for Diabetics will also not be the most fashionable.  Below I have listed what are some of the running shoes for Diabetics that I think are the best on the market:

Orthofeet Sprint Men’s Proven Pain Relief Orthopedic Diabetic Sneakers– Orthofeet Sprint Men’s Athletic shoes offer anatomical arch support, non-binding relaxed fit, and maximum protection against pressure points. The premium orthotic insole along with the ergonomic, cushioning sole soften step, enhance stability, and facilitate natural foot motion. These shoes are often recommended for diabetes, neuropathy, arthritis, plantar fasciitis, pronation, metatarsalgia, morton’s neuroma, bunions, corns and hammer toes.

Aetrax Zoom Runner –  This shoe features a removable insole, so if you have orthotics or insoles you prefer to use, this shoe is very amenable to it.   The shoe also provides a great deal of support and cushioning.

New Balance 940v3 Running Shoe– My favorite running shoe to recommend for Diabetics. This shoe is built with maximum support and cushioning.  But also being from the New Balance family it offers a roomy fit for even the widest foot.  In fact, you can measure the width of your foot and New Balance customize width sizings will give you a perfect fit.
