Best Orthotics or Insoles for Plantar Fibromas

Plantar Fibromas hurt, and orthotics can help decrease some of the pain that is caused by a fibroma.  First let us understand there is a difference between plantar fibromas and plantar fasciitis.  A plantar fibroma is a hard encapsulated mass underneath the skin, while plantar fasciitis is an inflammation of the plantar fascia which manifests itself with pain first step in the morning.

Now before I dicuss the best orthotics for plantar fibromas I have to state please see a Podiatrist and have the plantar fibroma removed.  It is a simple operation with a quick recovery time.  None of the orthotics or insoles I list are going to be more effective than surgery by a Podiatrist to remove it.  But, if you want to try orthotics what you want is an orthotic that is soft and pliable so that it will take stress off the fibroma and reduce pressure.  In other words you do not want a hard orthotic. Your goal is not arch support; the goal is comfort.

Sof Sol Air Orthotics– These orthotics are all about cushioning.  These orthotics contain little air portals that compress and reduce the pain on your fibroma.  In other words the fibroma will make an impression and for the most part that is what you want an orthotic to do: make an impression.

Spenco Polysorb–  The name should explain why you want this orthotic:Polysorb. This orthotic will absorb the stress caused by the plantar fibroma and decrease the pain and discomfort you will feel.
