Finding orthotics to fit into women’s boots is very hard. Most orthotics are wide in their construction, and most women’s boots tend to be narrow. However, there are some orthotics that can fit into a women’s boot comfortably. Below I will list and describe what are the best orthotics for women’s boots. All these orthotics will be able to fit into a women’s boot comfortably.
Ariat ATSA Footbed– This orthotic was created specifically for women’s boots. This is a gel cushioned orthotic. This orthotic is ideal if you have a great deal of pain on the bottom of your forefoot in the metatarsal area as this orthotic will dissipate stress there and with most boots that is where a great deal of stress will occur. I would highly recommend it if you have purchased Ariat boots, since these were developed specifically by that company. Where this orthotic falls short, in my opinion, is in biomechanical control. It does not have a very deep heel cup, nor does it give strong arch support. But if you are looking for an orthotic to provide an extra layer of cushioning this would be a good orthotic to get.
Superfeet Deluxe Dress Fit– This orthotic provides a wonderful contrast to the Ariat. Where as the Ariat focused on cushioning this orthotic is focused on motion control. It does not even extend out to the metatarsal area. If your concern is arch support and biomechanical control this orthotic maybe the way you want to go. However, it does lack in the cushioning department, so if you are having pain in your forefoot this would not be the way to go.
Footminders catwalk arch support– This orthotic is similar to the Superfeet orthotic with one difference: it extends out to the metatarsal area. It does fall short in the cushioning and reducing pressure area, but that is due mainly to the material it is made with. As you can see, where the Ariat has gel cushioning, this does not possess that property.
Powerstep Slim Tech orthotic insoles– This is my favorite orthotic as I think it does the best job of combining cushioning with biomechanical control. Also I am a firm supporter of Power Step Orthotics. This orthotic provides strong arch support so if your issue is plantar fasciitis or flat feet this is probably the direction you will want to go.
