Trying to find the right orthotic for your child’s feet can be difficult and if they are active and play soccer not all orthotics are made for that. But there are some orthotics that can stand up to the rigors of playing soccer. Now every orthotic is different just like every foot is different. Some orthotics may not be right for your child while others may be ideal. I have attempted in this article to write about the best orthotics for kids who play soccer and try to explain what orthotics should be worn for what children and the issue they are having.
Kids Zerts Full Length Insoles– These orthotics are manufactured for little kids and toddlers. They come as one type of orthotic, however, these are plenty strong enough and durable to stand up to soccer stress. They have full length polyester. These insoles would be ideal if you have an issue such as Sever’s disease. I would avoid these orthotics if my child suffered from flat feet or tired feet, as these insoles have a higher arch than I would like. That high arch may exacerbate your child’s flat feet and tired feet.
Spenco Kids Polysorb Insoles– These orthotics are wonderful if your child has issues with orthotics being uncomfortable. These insoles are probably the most comfortable child’s orthotic on the market. Spenco uses a unique top cover that almost gives their orthotics a walk on a mattress feel. These insoles do not provide the best arch support, but if your child suffers from Severs disease or generalized sore feet these maybe the cleat for you.
Superfeet Juniors– These are probably the best orthotics on the market. They used to only be for adults but they recently came out with a Juniors line. What sets these orthotics apart is they come in different types. There is an orthotic for flat feet and one for high arches so you are able to individualize the orthotic to what your kid’s needs are. So if your child has flat feet, this would be the orthotic I recommend.
