Best Orthotics for Hiking Boots

There are many types of orthotics on the market but not all of them are manufactured with hiking boots and hiking in mind.  Most orthotics are manufactured with the run of the mill activities in mind.  What you need is an orthotic that will give you sold support and be able to hold up to the great deal of stress and strain that a hike and hiking boots will apply.  Below I have listed what I believe to be the best orthotics or insoles for Hiking Boots:

Pedag Outdoor Durable Orthotic with semi rigid arch–  This orthotic is specifically created with hiking boots in mind.  These orthotics feature a metatarsal pad, as well as semi rigid arch support, and heel cushion.  This orthotic has a metatarsal pad which helps decrease the pain in the area and take the stress off.

Archmolds Maximum Cushion Insole– This orthotic is different than the others and is not a high performance orthotic.  I place it here for one reason: if you suffer from high arches this would be the orthotic for you.  What will happen with the high performance orthotics is your foot will fatigue easy and cause weakness.

Hard Boot Insoles–  These orthotics are for the serious hiker looking for some support.  If you have a pathology on your foot the Pedag or Archmolds are the way I would go.  But if your issue only seems to crop up when hiking, then these would be the orthotics you would want.
