Best New Balance Sneakers for Diabetics

New Balance is the perfect shoe for a Diabetic to wear. It has no pretense such as Nike or Reebok.  New Balance is focused on a comfrotable fit of a shoe.  When you are a Diabetic that is all you should be concerned with; making sure your foot fits comfortably into a shoe.  A poorly fitted shoe can cause blisters that can lead to infection.  But what New Balance sneakers are the best for Diabetics?  New Balance actually makes shoes with Diabetics in mind, and in some cases if you are on Medicare, you can have Medicare pay for the pair of shoes.  If you want Medicare to pay for the shoes, consult your local Podiatrist who should be able to get that done for you.  But, here are some examples of New Balance Sneakers that are ideal for Diabetics:

New Balance 608 Training Shoe– This shoe features an EVA footbed which will mold to the contour of your foot.  This shoe also provides a great deal of arch support so if you have issues with flat feet this might be the shoe for you.

New Balance 928 Walking shoe–  This shoe stands out as it is made of a leather mesh material.  So, if you live in a warm climate or have issues with sweaty feet, this is probably the direction you want to go. The leather mesh will help regulate the temperature of your foot.

New Balance 840–  This is my favorite New Balance sneaker for Diabetics.  This shoe features an extra wide toe box, so if you suffer from bunions or hammer toes this would be the sneaker to get.  I encourage you to browse as many models as you need before making your final decision.
