Dry skin is an annoying condition that afflicts many people. No doubt you have heard the saying “Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize for dealing with dry skin on the feet. But what are the best moisturizers for the feet? Why would you use the same creams for the feet as you would the face? Below I have highlighted what I think are some of the best moisturizing creams for feet on the market.
Best Moisturizing Creams for Dry Skin on the Feet
Lac-Hydrin– This can be prescription or over the counter. If you have severe dry skin you may consider seeing a Podiatrist to get a prescription for Lac Hydrin for your feet, as the prescription cream is more powerful. I personally feel this is the best, and is really effective at dry skin particularly in the heel if you have fissures there. This absorbs quickly into the skin with active ingredients of Ammonium Hydroxide and Lactic Acid
Amlactin– Another effective moisturizing cream- this, like Lac Hydrin has Lactic Acid as its active ingredient. This cream is very similar to Lac Hydrin above as far as its make up and its effectiveness.
Eucerin– This is one of the most widely used moisturizing creams. It is different in that is uses Glycerin as the active ingredient. This is fragrance free and it also extremely effective in treating dry skin, specifically cracked heels as well.
The three above are my favorites and are available at Amazon or most pharmacies. I would recommend any of the three above and really for treating dry skin of the feet, you are splitting hairs in comparing them.
