Finding the correct Lacrosse Cleat for your child is very important. If your child is not comfortable in their cleat they will not enjoy the activity or excel. So what do we look for in a Lacrosse Cleat for your son or daughter? Well, you want a cleat that is durable, (Nobody wants a cleat that breaks down after one month) and you want comfort. I really feel, when choosing a cleat or shoe for any sport for a child, comfort should be your number one concern. Now there is always the question about performance and yes some cleats may lead to a better performance. But if your child is under 12 the performace of any cleat will probably have very little result onto how your child plays. So with that here are what I think the are the best lacrosse cleats for kids:
Warrior Kids Vex 3.0 Lacrosse Cleat– These cleats are really outstanding. The first trait that stands out to me for these cleats is the full length EVA insole. What is EVA? It’s only the material used in the majority of orthotics and insoles on the market. What EVA will do is mold and contour to the shape of your child’s foot. This cleat also features a high performance rubber outsole to provide both traction and durability.
Under Armour Kids UA Highlight RM Jr. Cleats– Again we have my favorite material, EVA, providing the insole for the full length of the shoe. If you are worried about your child’s ankles being an issue this shoe probably gives some of the best support for ankles on the market via the Under Armour Clutchfit.
Kids Speedlax 4 Lacrosse Cleat– This is a high performance lacrosse cleat if you are insistant on performance and not worried about your child’s comfort (and the truth is 80-90% of kids wont have a problem with comfort with this cleat).
