What do you look for in a Keen for flat feet? You want a Keen that will contour to the individual shape of your foot, while at the same time providing arch support. Now you do not want too much arch support because that will cause pain and fatigue in your foot. Below I have listed what I believe to be the best Keens for flat feet:
Keen Whisper Sandals– This is an ideal sandal for kids with flat feet, because it features an EVA molded footbed. EVA is ideal for flatfeet because it is a material that will mold to the individual shape and arch of your foot, while providing solid arch support. I recommend an EVA molded footbed for most people with flat feet.
Keen Arroyo Hiking Sandal– There is that material again EVA, this time in the form of a dual density midsole. The dual density midsole gives somewhat stronger arch support then the molded footbed mentioned above. However, this sandal can cause arch fatigue in some cases. But if you are looking for a little stronger arch support this maybe the Keen for you.
Keen Clearwater Sandal- If you are looking for an alternative to EVA consider the Clearwater sandal. This sandal offers contoured arch support for your individual foot. Remember, you want a footbed that will contour to the individual shape of your foot.
Keen Venice Sandal– This shoe features both an EVA molded footbed as well as a compression molded EVA midsole. Giving, in my opinion, the best of both worlds as far as flat feet support.
