Best High Heels for Morton’s Neuromas, Podiatrist recommended

People who have high heels can be prone to neuromas due to the increased pressure on the metatarsal area, where a Morton’s neuroma would form.  The tightness of the high heel causes discomfort in the area and causes the metatarsal to be crunched together causing friction in the Neuroma.  Now before I begin, if you have high heels and a neuroma I highly recommend the pad below. It takes pressure off the neuroma via the pad.  The other aspect that makes it effective is it puts the third toe in plantar flexion which will actually cause the ligament to elevate, taking pressure off the neuroma.

But this article is not about pads, so here are some high heels that are ideal for people with Mortons Neuromas:

Bella Vita Liset II PlatformPump– Again this heel allows the metatarsal bones to splay out reducing pressure on the neuroma.  If you are looking for tight high heels, there are just none that will qualify.  The Bella Vita does not quite have the padding that would be ideal as it is a thin insole.

Geox Donna Marie Claire Mid Dress Pump–  I know I said no tight enclosed.  Well, I wanted to give everybody an option so if that is what you are looking for.  Check out this Geox offering. It has a cushioned footbed of Geox, with extra padding under the metatarsal area.  And the toe box is not as narrow as some of the other enclosed high heels.

Nine West Women’s Florent Pump– Again if you have not sensed the pattern a padded footbed with a wide toe box, tends to be the way to go.
