When looking for Birkenstock sandals for people with flat feet, what you want to consider is a Birkenstock sandal that supports your arch while molding to the contour of your individual foot’s shape. Now Birkenstock for the most part are anatomically and biomechanically sound sandals. Most Birkenstocks will perform fine with flat feet. I listed a couple that might be better than most (but what I am trying to say is it should probably not be your overwhelming factor in deciding what Birkenstocks to purchase)
Birkenstock Mayari Sandal– This sandal features an EVA footbed. EVA is a wonderful material for anybody with flat feet. What EVA will do is conform to the individual shape of your foot, while providing support. In my opinion people with flat feet should look for EVA in all the shoes and sandals that they purchase. This sandal also features a pronounced arch support in their footbed.
Birkenstock Unisex Arizona Sandal- This sandal utilizes a cork footbed which will contour to the shape of your foot and provide support. While I prefer EVA to Cork, cork is still an effective material for arch support.
Birkenstock Milano Sandals– This sandal also has a cork footbed for support. One other trait a lot of these sandals have is the deep heel cup which can help control excessive pronation.
