What is the ideal crossfit shoes for someone with a bunion deformity? Well, ideally you would get the widest form of a shoe and fit to the width of your bunion. But no crossfit shoes currently come in extra wide. So what you are looking for is a crossfit shoe with a wide toe box. Most crossfit shoes are made of material that will contour to your bunion, which will help reduce friction on the bunion. Below I have listed what I believe to be the best crossfit shoes for people with bunions:
Inov 8 262-This shoe in the description actually discusses its wide toe box. Of all the Inovs this shoe probably has the largest toe box to accommodate a bunion deformity. Additionally, the material will stretch enough so not to place pressure and friction on the bunion.
Reebok Reebok One Trainer 1.0– Just looking at this shoe you can see the toe box is one of the larger you will find in a typical crossfit shoe. I know this gets boring but there are only so many ways to say wider toe box. Remember look at the shoe, if the toe box is wide, then it is what you are looking for.
Inov 8 F Lite 185– While this shoe does not have as large toe box as the Reebok above it does feature met cradle webbing which will prevent trauma and rubbing on the bunion, thus decreasing irritation.
Inov 8 Bare-XF 210– This shoe uses anatomical fit technology, and as you can see just by looking at it, this shoe is ideal for the person suffering from a bunion deformity.
