So your friend/podiatrist/random guy on the street told you the secret to caring for your callouses is to rub a pumice stone on them. Does it work? Yes, but you want to use the pumice stone after you shower or bathe. But what are the best pumice stones for callouses? There are many different pumice stones on the market. Which ones are the best? First off, do not spend more then 20 dollars for a pumice stone. You should be able to find quality pumice stones for less than that amount. Here are my favorite pumice stones for corns and callouses:
Dead Sea Products– I like these pumice stones if you have generalized callouses all over the feet instead of one centered callous causing the pain. These pumice stones should successfully treat most dry skin and generalized dead skin over the callous. And even better they are buy one get one free at Amazon.
Mr. Pumice– It is my opinion when you are dealing with centralized callouses you want to employ a pumice stone that is a rectangle shape as that will give you the leverage you need to remove even the largest callous. One of the keys is the amount of pressure you can place on the pumice stone, and when dealing with thick corns or callouses I think you want to gravitate towards the rectangular pumice stones.
Tweezer Man LTD Pedro Callous Stone– This is probably the best pumice stone on the market for callous debridement. If you have tried and failed with other pumice stones consider this one. The handle allows you to place the pressure on the callous that is usually necessary to debride the callous.
