Best Basketball Shoes for High Arch Feet

What do you look for in a basketball shoe for high arched feet?  The same thing you look for in any shoe that has high arches.  You want a shoe that has a great deal of padding.  One of the things that high arches do, is they inhibit your foot’s ability to absorb stress placing greater stress and pain on your foot, making you susceptible to stress fractures and ankle sprains. Specifically, you want to have the padding in the heel and forefoot area as those are the areas in a high arch foot that absorb the most stress.  Below I have given a couple examples of basketball shoes that would be ideal for someone with high arches:

Nike Air Visi Pro Basketball Shoe 4–  This shoe has the air technology that Nike is famous for and it is placed in the heel of the shoe to help with stress. This shoe also provides a great deal of stress mitigation in the forefoot of the shoe.  The arch support is not the greatest in the shoe but I can still recommend this for someone with high arches.

New Balance BB891 Basketball Shoe–  New Balance makes quality sneakers that are ideal for any foot type.  But, I like this BB891 specifically for players with high arches due to the supportive cushioning this shoe provides, as well as the padding located in both the forefoot and the rearfoot of the sneaker.

And1 Backlash Basketball Shoes–  Why And1? Simply, this shoe has a high quality EVA sockliner.  For people with high arches EVA can be a Godsend.  It molds to the individual shape of your foot and provides cushioning specifically for the shape of your paticular shoe.  So, if you are desperate for a basketball shoe for high arches you should consider this shoe.
