Do not wear the same football cleats you wear on a grass field on artificial turf. Why can you not wear the same cleats? Because the typical grass cleat measures one inch in length. Those cleats are too large for artifical turf. If you wear those cleats you will be at high risk of a knee or ankle injury when you go to cut. What you need to get are cleats that measure less than a half an inch as this will give you traction, while not placing your ankle or knee at risk for an injury when you go to cut. Here are a couple example of Football Cleats that are ideal to wear on artificial turf:
Nike Vapor Talon Elite Low Molded Football Cleats– These cleats measure less than a half inch, which makes them ideal for playing football on artificial turf.

Reebok U Form 4 Speed Low M4 Men’s football cleat– Again low cleats (noticing a pattern, this is not hard). This would be the ideal turf cleat for a lineman or linebacker. Whereas the Vapor above would be ideal for cornerbacks, wide receivers, running backs and quarterbacks.
Adidas F10 TRX Men’s Soccer Astroturf Soccer Cleats– Yes I know these are soccer cleats but they are also cleats specifically designed for artifiicial turf. There are few if any football cleats designed for artificial turf. If it were me, this is the cleat I would obtain to use on artificial turf.
