Every once in a while a person will suggest getting a cortisone shot for Achilles Tendonitis. This is a horrible idea. Cortisone shots anywhere near the Achilles Tendon place you at high risk for a rupture. Any doctor that gives steroid shots near the Achilles Tendon is guilty of malpractice. NEVER, EVER have a cortisone shot near the Achilles Tendon.
