Best Orthotics or Insoles for Metatarsalgia on the Market

Metatarsalgia is a painful condition of the forefoot that can be brought upon by different conditions.  There are many treatments for metatarsalgia including pads, injections, or different shoes.  But one of the best treatments is to wear orthotics or insoles.  When you are looking for an orthotic or insole when you have metatarsalgia, you want an orthotic that has padding and helps off load the area where the metatarsals are present.  Below I have listed what I believe are the best orthotics or insoles for people with metatarsalgia:

New Balance Supportive Cushioning Insoles–  One of the key factors you want in an orthotic with metatarsalgia is supportive cushioning.  In other words you want padding to decrease stress to your metatarsal area. The more stronger the padding the less stress on the metatarsals and the less pain you will feel.  The other trait that this orthotic has is the pad that you can see in the metatarsal area. When you are looking for orthotics or insoles with metatarsalgia this is the pad you need to look for to take pressure and stress off the area.

Pedag Orthotic with Metatarsal Pad– Remember what I said earlier about the pad. It is much more visible on this orthotic as you can see.  What the pad does is elevate the metatarsal heads while at the same time reducing stress and strain on them.  You can actually purchase these pads seperately for a dollar or two.

Stridetek Tactical Trainer Supportive Insoles–  The other two orthotics above, while they have the pad, are not ideal for runners and athletes.  This is an orthotic or insole that a runner or athlete can wear without having any issues.  This orthotic is more durable and non athletes can wear it as well.  But as always you can see the Metatarsal Pad that is present.
