Finding orthotics that comfortably fit into work boots is not easy. You are on your feet eight hours a day and need an orthotic that will comfortably fit within your work boot while giving you the support that you need. What do you look for in an orthotic for a work boot? Typically you need an orthotic that is durable to stand up to the pressure of working eight hours a day. There are many different brands of orthotics but there are certain orthotics that are made specifically for people with work boots.
Spenco Heavy Duty Polysorb– If all you are looking for is an orthotic to give your foot extra padding, Spenco’s Heavy Duty Polysorb would be a good one to try. If you are not familiar with Spenco, they feature Spencore on their orthotics. This material helps absorb the pressure placed on the foot by walking. There are many different orthotics that all provide similar comfort to Spenco’s orthotic. The difference is this orthotic is just as effective at about half the price as you can see. Also, if one of your issues is a high arched foot this is the type of orthotic you want to get.
Foot minders Comfort arch support for work boots– If you are looking for support because your foot is flat, or you suffer from Plantar Fasciitis, this may be the orthotic to look at. It has an EVA top coat and some rigid arch support that you can see. The EVA will help contour the orthotic to your foot’s individual shape.
Power Step Protech Insoles– While these orthotics are not specifically made for work boots, I place them here because they are my favorite orthotic on the market and will fit comfortably into a pair of work boots as well as hold up to the stress and strain the work boots will place on your feet. I feel Power Step does the best job of combining support and cushioning to help reduce any pain and discomfort you may be feeling.
