Best Running Sneakers for High Arched feet

High arches can be extremely painful and finding the correct running shoe for high arches can be difficult.  One avenue to pursue is shoe insoles or orthotics for high arches.

Now with the high arches, the foot has certain criteria that is neccesary.  The key to choosing a running shoe for high arches really comes down to one requirement.  The shoe must have padding for high arches during running or any athletic endeavor.  A great deal of stress and force is located in the heel and over the metatarsal areas.  The best way to combat these forces is via padding or extra layers, which will provide comfort for the runner. Some shoes are better at padding than others. Here are what I consider some of the best shoes for runners with a high arch:

New Balance 770 Running Shoe–  This shoe from New Balance features the ABZORB midfoot cushioning system as well as flexible arch support.

ASiCs Women’s Gel Noosa–  This shoe is great for a high arch feet for a couple of reasons. One is it has the gel technology.  They place the gel in the heel and the forefoot exactly where a person with high arches will have the most discomfort.  Second is while not being a true rocker bottom, the sneaker comes close to keeping biomechanical stresses off the forefoot.

ASICs Gel Blade–  I confess I love the ASICs gel technology and really would recommend any of their running shoes.  But here is another example of them concentrating the gel in the forefoot and the heel.

Adidas Performance SuperNova Sequence 9 – This shoe features an energy-returning boost midsole. A continental rubber outsole with STRETCHWEB adapts to the ground and optimizes the properties of boost.
